Meet Dr. Yandisa
Nxakama
Dr. Yandisa Nxakama is a distinguished Neurosurgeon, having earned his MBChB degree from Walter Sisulu University in Mthatha. He commenced his career journey with an internship at Chris Hani Baragwanath Hospital in Johannesburg in 2013, followed by community service at Victoria Hospital in Alice, completed in 2015.

His expertise in Neurosurgery blossomed during his tenure as a medical officer at Nelson Mandela Academic Hospital in Mthatha and Frere Hospital in East London. Dr. Nxakama’s commitment to advancing his skills led him to join Inkosi Albert Luthuli Central Hospital in Durban as a registrar in 2018, culminating in his qualification as a Neurosurgeon in 2022.

Further enhancing his knowledge, he completed his MMED at the University of KwaZulu Natal in 2023. Dr. Nxakama is renowned for his passion, meticulous approach, and dedication, specializing in treating brain and spine conditions for patients of all ages, from adults to children.

Qualifications: MBChB (WSU), FC Neurosurg (SA), MMED(UKZN)
